Cult Japanese label JULIUS brought its avant-garde flair to Milan men’s fashion week for its Fall/Winter 2017 collection. For this season, designer Tatsuro Horikawa seems to take inspiration from space travel and cockpit apparel. The collection opens with voluminous all-white silhouettes that effuse a certain astronaut aesthetic, whereas silver-toned textiles and metallic finishes further the futuristic theme. Midway through the show, the color palette transitions into more vivid neutrals with the arrival of peach, olive green, violet, seafoam green and a creamsicle orange. Utilitarian details such as zippers, seat-belt belts and safety straps hit on dominant streetwear trends of the moment, while classic outerwear silhouettes such as leather biker jackets, bombers and parkas make the collection wearable for everyday styling. Check out the full JULIUS Fall/Winter 2017 collection above and share your thoughts in the comments below.
