Jil Sander Men's 2017 Fall/Winter Collection Is a Lesson on Modern Tailoring

The German luxury label delivers its signature minimalism and sleek precision.

Luxury fashion house Jil Sander has unveiled its Men’s 2017 fall/winter collection, which sees a line of sleek, sophisticated cuts in a monochromatic color scheme. The latest collection draws inspiration from the 1934 novel “Independent People” by Nobel laureate Halldór Laxness. Taking cues from the literary narrative’s human-versus-nature theme, the result is heavily outerwear-centric collection that gives a sense of protection. The neutral-toned, monochromatic outfits feature fine-tuned proportions in the form of minimal puffers, slim-tailored coats, elongated silhouettes, bullet-proof vests and engulfing coats in rich textiles such as Icelandic shearling and premium wool. Take a look at the full Jil Sander Men’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection above and share your thoughts in the comments below.
