This season’s M997BKR isn’t the only Horween x New Balance collab dropping for Spring/Summer 2017. Joining the beige look is another retro runner clad in the Chicago-based leather company’s premium materials: the second version of the classic 990. Whereas the aforementioned 997s opted for a relatively understated color palette, the 990v2 takes things in a slightly bolder direction, instead donning deep burgundy leather to go with dashes of blood red accents. Here, finishing touches come in the form of contrasting grey leather “N” logos while the silhouette’s ABZORB midsole appears in off-white with a black rubber outsole.
The American-made M990BTA2 is available now from NB stockists like Concepts for $340 USD.
