Damir Doma's 2017 Fall/Winter Looks Hit the Runway in Milan
The Croatian designer’s latest seasonal rebellion makes its debut.

Rebellion has always been a key theme of Milan-based Damir Doma’s collections — whether it be his main line or SILENT subsidiary — and the Croatian designer’s Fall/Winter 2017 range continues that fashionable outlook. Unveiled on the runway today in the label’s own Milanese stomping grounds, the upcoming collection once again draws on the draped, elongated, and layered looks Doma knows and loves, this time offering up everything from decidedly punk-inspired destroyed sweaters and pieced leather trousers to oversized outerwear and turtlenecks. While the color palette largely stays in the neutral territory of grey, black, beige, brown, and olive, additions of burnt orange provide an injection of bold contrast while kimono stylings and lengthy belts offer added flair and correspond nicely to the draping of the silhouettes.
