Belstaff Connects With SOPHNET. on a 2017 Spring/Summer Capsule Two Years in the Making
Recalling iconic styles from the British brand’s archives.

British heritage brand Belstaff just revealed a limited edition capsule collection with cult Japanese streetwear imprint SOPHNET. for the 2017 spring/summer season. For the range, Hirofumi Kiyonga of SOPHNET. researched the English label’s rich archives to find the key pieces to rework and reintroduce. The result is a mix of traditional silhouettes updated with modern, streetwear-focused details.
“I came across Belstaff decades ago, when my curiosity for fashion first began,” Kiyonga said. “Belstaff is a brand which people have worn and admired for many years and I respect their designs, longevity and authenticity. This is something I wish for with my own label. I appreciate this opportunity to work with Belstaff and I believe the collection showcases the Belstaff philosophy combined with Japanese street culture. I hope the collection appeals to the loyal fans of both brands but also to a new audience.”
Included in the capsule are updated versions of the Roadmaster jackets, a Westbury Parka, Elmhurst Fleece, and BXS sneakers. Outstanding details like camo prints, quality fabrics and water-resistant attributes make the collection ideal for any street-savvy customer.
The capsule will launch exclusively at Isetan, Shinjuku, Tokyo on January 25, 2017, then at Belstaff stores and online from the 4th for February.
