Following the unveiling of the mastermind JAPAN x adidas Originals collaboration we now take a closer look at the two-piece footwear offering with our in-house shots. Masaaki Homma’s punk-inspired take on the adidas NMD XR1 sees a predominantly black color scheme applied to the shoe’s mesh design, while mastermind branding is present along the tongue and support cage. Reflective lacing adds a subtle touch of flair to the monochrome design. The Tubular Instinct is offered in a plush leather makeup, with toe perforations, a heel zipper, reflective lacing and mastermind’s skull and bones finishing off the collaborative renditions. Check out both kicks above and pick them up at mastermind locations and select adidas Originals accounts across the globe starting September 20.
