'ARQ' Official Trailer: Netflix Beefs up Its Original Content With a Sci-Fi Thriller
Another addition to the growing list of time loop-themed movies.
With the recent successes of a lot of its shows and movies, Netflix is not gun shy about releasing some new original content. The streaming platform’s new project, ARQ is not a series like Stranger Things or Narcos, but an original film that looks pretty promising based on the trailer. The Sci-fi thriller has the same feel as movies like 12 Monkeys, Looper, Groundhog Day and Source Code. The official description for the movie is:
In a dystopian future, an engineer trapped in a house and surrounded by a mysterious gang of masked intruders must protect a technology that could deliver unlimited energy and end the wars that have consumed the world.
While it doesn’t have the same must-watch vibe yet, we’ll just have to wait and see if the initial release will garner some positive responses first before we all go scatter to our accounts and hit the play button. Watch the trailer above and let us know your thoughts.
