A Day and Night Through Taipei With plain-me and URBAN RESEARCH's "City Traveler" Collection
Designed for the “City Traveler.”
Present day Taiwan embodies a complex history of cultural impressions, Japanese culture being one of them. As a nod to the country’s heritage, plain-me and URBAN RESEARCH have teamed up for their first collaboration dubbed “City Traveler.” The two brands have brought forth a collection of tees, sliders, caps, and bags mindful of exploration and movement while keeping to an easy-to-match, minimal aesthetic. Branding is kept simple and subtle, with hidden placement on sleeve folds or inside pockets. The logo designed for the project is a combination of the Chinese character for “Taipei” and “Taipei Railway” with extending lines to signify moving forward. Taking us through the streets, shops, railways and night markets of Taipei, Japanese model and photographer Sen Mitsuji shows us how to style the collection between day and night.
