Hender Scheme to Showcase New Homewares With New York City Exhibition

Having recently teamed up with Chitose Abe and sacai for a pair of badass leather boots for Fall/Winter 2016, Tokyo-based Hender Scheme has announced plans for a brand new exhibition — one slated to hit the Big Apple right in the middle of New York Fashion Week, no less. Aptly entitled “RAW,” the exhibition (Hender Scheme’s first-ever to focus on housewares) will take place at NYC’s Nalata Nalata and highlight everything from specially designed chairs and bowls to rugs and lighting — all of which recently popped up in the brand’s new flagship in Ebisu and feature the label’s usual handcrafted, leather-centric construction. Those in town for the exhibition will even have a chance to meet Hender Scheme’s own Ryo Kashiwazaki as the founder will be on hand for an opening reception at 7 p.m. on September 9.
“RAW” will be be on view through September 14.
