Breitling's Chronoliner Gets the Blacksteel Treatment
’50s and ’60s inspiration with a decidedly contemporary all-black look.

Breitling’s Chronoliner has long been one of its cleanest timepieces thanks to the old school ’50s and ’60s inspiration behind it. Now the versatile look is getting a decidedly contemporary update as the Swiss watchmaker has applied its Blacksteel treatment to the piece. The result is a decidedly modern wristwatch and one that sees everything from its broad scratch-resistant, high-tech ceramic bezel and 46mm case to its dial and mesh-like rubber strap coated in black. As per usual, the Breitling 24 movement drives the watch while other features include a chronograph complication and 42-hour power reserve while a red-tipped hand enables the reading of a second timezone in 24-hour mode. As Breitling puts it, the Chronoliner is “just the ticket for a long-haul flight anywhere in the world.”
The limited-edition Chronoliner is available now at select Breitling stockists worldwide.
