Battlefield 1 is shaping up to be perhaps the best Battlefield offering to date. Originally unveiled back in May, EA’s FPS was further highlighted at E3 with the very first look at its gameplay and now Electronic Arts is back with yet another look at the gameplay on the occasion of Gamescom. Taking players back to World War I (a decided departure from the more contemporary setting of last year’s Hardline), the latest trailer for the simply- and aptly-named Battlefield 1 does well to highlight the immersive single-player experience, which offers up harrowing dogfights, tank-led destruction, and the more prototypical FPS affair as players hit the likes of France, London, and the Arabian Desert. Best of all, though? EA and DICE are promising massive 64-player firefights to coincide with the single-player experience.

Battlefield 1 drops October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
