WTAPS and Oakley Bring It Back to 1985 With the Re-Release of the Frogskins Sunglasses
Retro vibes.


Following WTAPS’ 2016 spring/summer collection, the Tokyo-based brand has partnered with Oakley to revive the 1985 pair of Frogskins sunglasses. The retro shades sport a black frame, with interchangeable black and fluorescent temples. Oakley branding and a lightning bolt are seen across the outside temple, while WTAPS’ logo is printed on the opposite inside. To match, a comfortable neoprene strap has been made available to go along with the special release. The glasses which can be found at the WTAPS flagship store, GIP-STORE in Shibuya currently retail for ¥32,000 yen (approximately $310 USD) and the strap goes for ¥1,800 yen (approximately $17 USD).
