Would You Let This Barber Cut Your Hair With Fire?

In the last traditional barber shop left in Milan is Franco Bompieri, a barber with 72 years of experience who still uses the old-school technique of grooming hair with fire. In the above video, he takes us through his process, explaining in Italy a haircut is first done with scissors and a comb, then finished with fire to burn the ends. Supposedly, this is to help the hair recover, grow thicker, and stop it from falling out. As an 83-year-old with a relatively thick head full of hair, he may have been on to something.
