DJ Stays Awake for 10-Day Long Set, Breaks World Record
240 hours of non-stop mixing.

A Nigerian artist by the name of DJ Obi performed a nonstop set in Lagos from June 22 to July 2, breaking the Guinness World Record for longest DJ set in history. Having played for a total of 240 hours, Obi beat Polish DJ Norbert Selmaj’s 2014 record by 40 hours. Guidelines for the title stipulated that no song could be repeated twice in a four-hour period, at least one person had to be dancing at all times, and five minute toilet breaks were granted every hour. He was given two hours of rest a day, and supplied with regular massages and vitamins for sustenance. He did not sleep. “I woke up hallucinating after four or five days and had lost full control of my body,” Obi told BBC. What’s a four-day bender at Berghain when this guy can continue the party for 10 days straight?
