Beyoncé, Rihanna, Pharrell and More Spread Awareness for America's Racial Injustices

The tragedy of African-American lives being taken at the hands of police has become too important to ignore in the current cultural discourse. In the wake of the unjust fatal shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, the Black Lives Matter movement is as big as ever, prompting celebrities to use their influential platforms to spread awareness on the systematic racism that’s plagued our society for generations. As part of Alicia Keys’s We Are Here movement, “#23ways” is a new video that highlights the issue by describing “23 ways you could be killed if you are Black in America.” It features notable pop culture figures such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Common, Pharrell, and a whole lot more, which is a testament to how these celebrities are taking matters to heart and wanting to spread the message that black people are dying for ”doing absolutely nothing.”
