EA Promises Much More to Come in 'Star Wars' Video Games
Including a X-Wing virtual reality game.
Star Wars has quickly become one of the flagship franchises within the portfolio of Electronic Arts after it signed a multi-year licensing deal with Lucasfilm in 2013, and egged on by the ensuing success of Star Wars: Battlefront. Now, the games developer has released the above video providing a glimpse at the myriad number of games titles it has planned for the Star Wars universe in the next few years, involving the talents of its most successful internal studios. In the works are three new expansion packs and a sequel for Battlefront by DICE (which is also responsible for the Battlefield series), a narrative title by Dead Space creator Visceral Games and Uncharted writer Amy Hennig due 2018, as well as a PlayStation VR title due later this year that will put players inside the cockpit of a X-Wing.
