The electric guard from Brooklyn never forgot where he came from. Hailing from Coney Island specifically, popular director Spike Lee has recently presented a special “Lil’ Joint” to cover the groundbreaking idea that became known as Starbury. Following up Shaquille O’Neil’s wave of creating affordable footwear for aspiring ballers and families, Marbury continued giving back to Brooklyn and those in relation with the Starbury line. In addition, Marbury battled sneaker culture along with having his own issues in the NBA as he departed from the league to play in China.
