SpaceX's Spacesuits Will Be Designed by a Superhero Costume Designer
The same designer from ‘Batman vs. Superman’ and ‘Captain America: Civil War.’
SpaceX is making sure that its astronauts look great while they travel into the depths of space. To do so, they enlisted Jose Fernandez to design their spacesuits. Fernandez is best known for being the designer behind the costumes in films such as Batman v Superman and Captain America: Civil War. Those curious won’t be able to see the suit until next year, but it has been revealed that SpaceX’s Elon Musk wanted the design to be “stylish” and “heroic.”
While there isn’t a lot of information on the design of the suit, we can be sure that it will be “stylish” and “heroic” given his costume design background. But obviously, spacesuits have understandably stricter demands for comfort and safety; despite that, hopefully it might mean a departure from what we’re used to seeing.
