Drake is now a member of Forbes‘ prestigious Forbes Five club. As the outlet reported earlier today, the OVO rapper has ascended to the level of one of “rap’s richest.” When it comes to the five “richest rappers,” Drake’s wealth has allowed for the VIEWS rapper to eclipse 50 Cent and move himself into the elite group. Drake is now at #5 on the list with an estimated $60 million dollars in wealth, which places him right behind Birdman and his $110 million. Explaining Drake’s newfound position, Forbes staff writer Natalie Robehmed writes:

“Drake’s $60 million net worth is thanks to a sizeable cash pile, accumulated through multi-platinum recordings, million-dollar-grossing tours and seven figure endorsements. The 29-year-old has been a regular on the Hip-Hop Cash Kings list of highest-earning rappers since his debut in 2010, when he banked an estimated $9 million pre-tax.

The crooning MC has earned some $150 million to date–before taxes and spending. It’s not quite the $250 million he once said he planned to make by age 29, but it’s not bad for a 30th birthday present.”

The top five list is topped by Diddy and Dr. Dre, who are worth $750 million and $710 million respectively. With his new album out, expect Drake’s wealth to grow even more in the coming months. Just yesterday, news emerged regarding Drake’s victory of an Adele record.
