NEXUSVII's MADMAXX Line Sews Vintage Bandanas Into Its Tropical Field Sandals
Inspired by a post-Apocalyptic scarcity of resources.

Tomohiro Konno’s NEXUSVII latest Tropical Field Sandal is proof that the Japanese fashion imprint is still at the forefront of functional, sustainable and well-crafted essentials. The brand’s MADMAXX line is focused on upcycling and reusing materials, like one would have to do in a post-Apocalyptic hellscape. With this scarcity and resourcefulness in mind, the brand has repurposed vintage paisley bandanas and integrated them into the construction of its summer slides for hits of black, red and navy alongside uppers made of either nylon or denim. The shoe’s suede and cork footbed sits atop a rubber outsole.
These post-apocalyptic chancletas are available now via the brand’s webstore for $190 USD.
