Converse has partnered with designer John Varvatos once again for a limited-edition collection, placing some premium touches on its classic sneakers. This time, the duo celebrates the 40th anniversary of punk rock with familiar archetypes incorporating studs, zippers and leather which epitomized the fashion of the music scene during the era. The Chuck Taylor All Star sees four different iterations including the Tornado Zip featuring burnished red/black leather and perforated sand-colored uppers, along with a tonal Artisan Stitch in black and a metallic Multi Stud version. The low-top Deck Star Slip ‘67 also gets included in the lineup, touched up with a black worn-in leather, rounding out the assorted silhouettes. The collaborative rock ‘n’ roll collection is available online now at John Varvatos and Converse retailing for $125-$235 USD.
