'Star Wars Episode VIII' Production Teaser Released
A first look at the next chapter of the saga.
While Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to break box office records, Disney has launched a short teaser announcing the start of production for the franchise’s next saga. Directed by Rian Johnson (known for Brick and Looper), the clip provides a glance at the set and hints at the plot line for the upcoming movie. Not much is revealed besides Rey (Daisy Ridley) handing an intense looking Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) his lightsaber. The cast list has also been made public showing Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran as the newest additions. Star Wars Episode VIII is slated to be released in theaters starting December 15, 2017.
