Snapchat has been looking for ways to expand its Discover feature, which already incorporates third-party media content from the likes of Vice, CNN and Sports Illustrated. According to board member Joanna Coles, Hearst’s Snapchat channel “Sweet” will “morph into an e-commerce platform so you will be able to buy from it.” The channel already features a number of products from brands with corresponding prices and descriptions, making it a seemingly good fit if Snapchat were to roll out an in-app shopping feature.
