LEGO Celebrates Ford GT's 2016 Le Mans 24 Win by Releasing Two Versions of the GT40
For the grown-up child in all of us.

LEGO is celebrating Ford GT’s victory in the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hour by releasing a LEGO version of this year’s car alongside a take on the 1966 Ford GT40. The cars have been made as part of its new Speed Champions model range, with LEGO design lead, Craig Callum saying the following:
“This was a dream project – with a lot of pressure. The Ford GT40 is one of the most iconic race cars of all time, and the new Ford GT is just incredible. Designed for children, but with grown-ups fans in mind too, we know these models will be closely scrutinized for authenticity.”
The cars also come with racing driver figures, trophy, and a checkered flag. The Speed Champions Ford GT set is due to be released later this month with a $35 USD price tag.
