Yohji Yamamoto Creates Custom Artwork for "Cyborg 009"
In honor of the film’s 50th anniversary
Renowned designer Yohji Yamamoto has collaborated with the anime series Cyborg 009 to create an exclusive poster for the film’s 50th anniversary. Originally created by Shotaro Ishinomori, the movie was directed by Yugo Serikawa and released on July 21, 1966, followed by a string of sequels. The artwork will be supplemented by a range of apparel titled “CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE,” with prices ranging from 28,000 to 106,000 yen ($250 to $935 USD). Pre-sales will begin on Nov. 22 at Yohji Yamamoto in Shibuya, with a wide release at select retailers beginning on Nov. 30.
