Over ten years ago, Jay Z tried to put Lil Wayne on his label. However, with an offer of $175,000 USD in front of him, Weezy just wasn’t interested. Following Lil Wayne’s heavily-publicized rift with Birdman, it looks like times have changed quite a bit. Over the weekend, Lil Wayne alluded to a new deal with Jay Z and his Roc Nation crew during a headlining performance at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. In the middle of performing “I’m Me,” Lil Wayne switched up a section of the song’s lyrics to label himself a “motherf*cking Roc-A-Fella millionaire.” Weezy appeared to throw up the signature Roc diamond hand sign as well, further fueling rumors of a Roc Nation signing. As we await official confirmation, check out footage of Lil Wayne’s Camp Flog Gnaw performance above.
