Gareth Bale Ruled out for up to Four Months with Ankle Injury
The beast gets sidelined.

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale will miss out on next week’s El Clasico against Barcelona after being ruled out for up to four months with an ankle injury. Bale sustained the injury during Madrid’s 2-1 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Diagnosed with a “traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons” in his right ankle, Bale is expected to have surgery next week in London. Bale risks missing out on Wales’ 2018 World Cup qualifier against Republic of Ireland in Dublin on March 24, 2017.
Wales are currently in third place in their group, four points behind leaders Ireland and two points behind Serbia. Bale recently extended his contract with Real Madrid and is set to stay with the Spanish giants until 2022.
