'Fences' Official Trailer Shows Denzel Washington's Most Dramatic Performance Yet
Will Troy do what’s necessary for his family?
Denzel Washington, winner of two Academy Awards including Best Actor in a Leading Role, directs and stars in his latest drama Fences. Teased upon earlier this fall, the film is an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by August Wilson and strikes upon the race relations Americans encountered during the 1950s. Domestically, Troy (Washington) attempts to make sense of the life he’s led after 18 years of dreams unfulfilled. Together with his wife Rose, played by the Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, they battle to find redemption, righteousness for their family, and ultimately a path for their son Cory (Jovan Adepo).
A tour de force of drama led by an all-star duo, Fences hits theaters this Christmas.
