Having taken on a new artistic direction under his real name of Nick Murphy, the artist formerly known as Chet Faker unveils the lead single in support of his first album under his legal name. Co-produced by Dave Harrington, the sprawling, eight-minute “Stop Me (Stop You)” serves as our first listen of what’s to come from Nick Murphy’s next musical movement. Describing the track, Nick Murphy explains: “Stop Me (Stop You) is essentially two inseparable songs. Ying and yang of past and present.” You can stream “Stop Me (Stop You)” above and the song will be available for purchase as a single beginning tomorrow. Expect more news regarding the new Nick Murphy album in the coming months.
