Apple's iPhone 8 Might Feature Wireless Charging
The next design streamlining.

Recent design developments at Apple have featured the removal of technology basics such as the traditional USB port and the headphone jack. But the next design streamlining might be the best game changer yet: wireless charging. According to an industry source, Hon Hai Precision Industry, commonly known as Foxconn Technology Group, is testing wireless charging modules for the iPhone 8, which is anticipated for release in 2017. The introduction of wireless charging may boost sales for the iPhone’s 10-year anniversary, however “whether the feature can eventually make it into Apple’s updated devices will depend on whether Foxconn can boost the yield rate to a satisfactory level later on,” says the source. Both Apple and Foxconn have yet to comment.
