Vans has released a number of unique collaborations over the years, but rarely has it been associated with a baseball team, let alone a franchise in Asia. As one of the major sports in Japan, teams in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) league attract a legion of fans week in, week out, while even the country’s high school and university ranks receive significant media attention during major tournaments. Additional accents of red and navy provide the finishing touches to the upper, which sits atop of a crisp white vulcanized sole. Available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp x Vans Slip-On will be releasing exclusively at ABC-MART Hiroshima Parco on October 7.
