'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events' Gets the Netflix Treatment

Next January, Netflix is debuting another original series based around Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Written under that recognizable pseudonym, Daniel Handler’s internationally best-selling series is based on the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus and Sunny — who have been put in the care of an evil guardian named Count Olaf. The three siblings encounter obstacles and challenges from Count Olaf who will stop at nothing to get his hands on their family inheritance, all while trying to discover the cause behind their parents’ mysterious death. This eight-episode series features Neil Patrick Harris and will premiere January 13.
