Last night’s season premiere of Saturday Night Live featured The Weeknd as the musical guest, marking his third appearance on the show. Standing in front of a giant cross on a smoke-filled stage, Abel performed the title track from his eponymous album Starboy, along with his newly-released song, “False Alarm.”

The Margot Robbie-hosted episode also included a new segment of the “The Weeknd” Update, which simply includes the singer mentioning that he got a haircut.
