A Closer Look at Eddie Huang's adidas Originals Collaboration
A collection made for a true chef.
Eddie Huang has teamed up with the Three Stripes on a “kitchen-ready” collaboration, featuring designs that will complement the busy chef’s life. The pack includes a blacked-out Superstar with black suede and a flame retardant coating, black steel shell-toe and non-slip black outsole. Details include fluorescent pink “Huang’s World” branding on the heel. This special flame retardant coated upper is made with a special fire retardant powder that was added during the dying process, alongside scotch guard to block liquids and grease from absorbing into the leather. Aside from the innovative and all-purpose Superstar, the collection also comes with a cream-colored adilette slipper wrapped in an old world map, representing the world’s culinary influence on Huang’s signature dishes. The collection will be available online and at select retailers beginning October 8 with the Superstar retailing for $150 USD and the adilette slides for $50 USD.
