Dubbed “In Praise of Shadows,” the range showcases an appreciation for darkness, a sense of depth and shifts in tone as — in typical wings+horns fashion — an understated approach to design emphasizes a focus on nuance and detail. Given its dark color palette, texture is a vital element of the collection as details like sherpa wool, Peruvian yarn, knit patterns, and articulated sleeves hit rugged-yet-minimalist takes on military staples like the MA-1 bomber and N3-B parka, not to mention a deck jacket, coat and mac — all of which are made in Japan.
Innovative and modern with distinct nods to both the past and the future alike, the Fall/Winter 2016 collection from wings+horns will hit the brand’s web store and select stockists later this year.
