Floating trees are now a reality. From the Japanese designers of Hoshinchu, comes the Air Bonsai – it consists of a bottom “energy base” and floating top nicknamed “little star” — both halves are magnetized, allowing the plant to seemingly hover in place. The do-it-yourself kit can be wholly unique, allowing your choice of plant to be transplanted onto “little star.” The creators want to raise $80,000 USD to support their creation, which will be offered for $200 USD (basic set).

Watch the video above to check out the inspiration behind Air Bonsai, and support the project here.
