See Juun.J’s Guest Designer Presentation at Pitti Uomo
“Genderless and Boundaryless.”
We previously reported South Korean designer, Juun.J was appointed to be the menswear guest designer for Pitti Uomo – his Genderless and Boundaryless presentation for the 89th installment of the esteemed trade show was intended, in the translated words of the designer, ”to be worn by survivors of some unspecified future apocalypse.”
Heavily-structured moto leathers in shades of peach, white and black, featuring exaggerated shoulders and pressed leather patches were followed by more classic menswear pieces including oversized topcoats, fitted and loose-cut tailored trousers in plain or pinstripe. Then, a sequence of shearling coats bearing oversized lapels concluded the presentation. Noteworthy details included scarves proclaiming the designer’s “-lesses” mantra for the show.
