James Murphy is wasting no time when it comes to the LCD Soundsystem reunion. Less than a week after news of LCD Soundsystem’s headlining performance at Coachella broke, the legendary LCD Soundsystem frontman has followed up the announcement with aeven bigger news. Taking to LCD Soundsystem’s offical website, James Murphy has revealed that a new LCD Soundsystem album is on the way and a full tour is on the horizon. Breaking the news, Murphy wrote the following:

“We’re not just playing coachella. we’re playing all over. we’re not just having some reunion tour. we’re releasing a record (sometime this year—still working on it, actually), so this isn’t a victory lap or anything, which wouldn’t be of much interest to us. this is just the bus full of substitute teachers back from their coffee break with new music and the same weird gear.”
