Extra Butter x Diadora Titan II Teaser
A collaborative sneaker that pays tribute to the “Spaghetti Western” films of 1960s Italy.
It was in the mid-1960s when the popular Italian film genre dubbed the “Spaghetti Westerns” thrived. Having emerged in the wake of Italian director Sergio Leone’s aggressive long shots juxtaposed with extreme close-up shots filming style, the genre is forever immortalized among one of the most recognisable canons in the history of film.
Now, NYC sneaker mainstay Extra Butter is kicking off the new year with a special Spaghetti Western-themed project in partnership with Diadora. While it’s too early to tell the gritty details of the new collaboration our first glimpse of the sneaker reveals a sophisticated update on the Italian footwear brand’s heritage Titan II runner that holds cream tones and rich brown and burgundy hues, with fine detailing adorning the toe cap and leather heel counter. Taking cues from the classic Italian cinema’s style, the shoe’s design holds influences from iconic films and characters of the cinematic era that also celebrates Diadora’s commitment to premium Italian craftsmanship.
