Quentin Tarantino’s Original Cast Wishlist for 'Pulp Fiction'
Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, and more surprising names on the list.

Could we imagine our favorite cult crime film having gone any differently? Fortunately for us, we can put our imagination to the test as Quentin Tarantino’s original 1993 cast wishlist for his hit 1995 film Pulp Fiction has leaked online. Perusing through the names, we see the director was able to cast a handful of his top picks like Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer, while names like Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis are surprisingly not even mentioned on the list.
John Travolta’s fate with the film was sealed when Michael Madsen, Tarantino’s first pick for the role of Vincent and whom previously starred in Reservoir Dogs, opted to pursue another film. Vincent’s bizarre drug dealer Lance, played by Eric Stolz, was also originally intended for John Cusack. As for the beloved Jheri-curled Jules, Samuel L. Jackson was considered along with Laurence Fishburne and Eddie Murphy. Other notable candidates for other main characters include Denzel Washington, Dennis Quaid, Alec Baldwin, Gary Oldman, Nicolas Cage and Johnny Depp.
