Propelled by both design and functionality, longstanding denim imprint Lee Jeans turns its focus on the prominence of cycling as a form of city commute with its Urban Riders collection. Mixing technical and traditional fabrics in its execution, the brand modifies multiple pieces from its replete archive in cater to the stylish commuter who transitions from work to social meetings throughout the day. Standout pieces include a water-repellent blazer which features a utilitarian back pocket, allowing the rider to store his or her belongings. The jacket is paired with classic straight leg denim with a reflective tape seam helm. The reflective motif is also inset on the shoulders of the parka — which features elongated cuffs and a hood to combat the weather when its unpredictable — and blazer, alongside the jeans’ back patch and buttons, increasing the visibility of the rider for added safeguard.
Filmed in Tokyo, Lee Jeans takes us through a day in the city; starting at Shinuya’s Deus Ex Machina for a morning brew, before dropping by the bustling Harajuku district to check out local eateries at Commune 246, and finally, rounding out the day with some scenic exploration at the National Art Center.
