Explore the Ups & Downs of The #VanLife in This Short Documentary
Why it’s worth it to pack your life into a van and drive off into the unknown.
When Foster Huntington began the #vanlife Instagram hashtag in 2011 to document his own experiences living out of a van, little did he know that four years and 274,000 (and counting) Instagram posts later, it would have spawned a new lifestyle movement and close-knit community that is the subject of this latest short from The Atlantic. Following a tribe of #vanlife enthusiasts, we gain an insight into the cramped and less-than-sanitary living conditions, frequent van breakdowns, and constant uncertainty of their next place to sleep and shower. Despite all these trials, we also see how it pays off in the end, with the unbounded freedom of the #vanlife offering those who choose to pursue it the time of their lives. Would you be able to live out of a van too?
