Check Out What Went Down at The Sonos House of Sound Pop-up
Seeing Sole DXB festival-goers put a fashion-forward stamp on its latest tech.
Every year contemporary culture festival Sole DXB plays host to a growing number of fashion, art, and lifestyle brands looking to promote their latest releases to festival-goers. At the 2024 installment, however, it was tech that came out top amongst the starring line-up with The Sonos House of Sound becoming one of the biggest attractions of the weekend.
The respective pop-up marked the tech brand’s debut appearance at Sole DXB. Coming out with a bang, Sonos tuned into the festival’s creative landscape to put on an inspiring showcase of music and style in a sound hub styled and furnished by Urban Nest. Set in the heart of Dubai Design District, the space was furnished to replicate a cozy home environment where those passing by in the daytime could cocoon on plush seating and check out its new products. In the evenings, musicians and DJs were invited to celebrate under the sparkle of a disco ball and chrome mushroom-shaped lamps.
Throughout the three-day activation, the Sonos Ace headphones were center stage with workshops and experiences revolving around its trend-setting design. A group of regional influencers and streetwear enthusiasts such as Lana Albeik and Basil Alhadi were given the chance to pick a pair and style them alongside their latest buys from the festival. With sleek colorways of matte black and white, they showed how the over-ear headphones could complement their personal styles as well as become a stand-alone fashion statement.
On top of spotlighting its sleek build, Sonos also gave attendees the chance to experience its unique sound capabilities. Thanks to Active Noise Cancellation and spatial audio, festival-goers could block out the surrounding music and immerse themselves into an audio bubble where they could create new playlists or their own beats using add-on production equipment.
