Ralph Lauren’s talented artist-turned designer nephew presents his strongest collection yet.
Budding fashion designer Greg Lauren recently presented his first-ever menswear show for the forthcoming 2016 spring season. The nephew of iconic American fashion designer Ralph Lauren continues to prove his skills with the delivery of another strong handmade collection of suits, military jackets, blanket coats, blazers, hoodies, jumpsuits, overalls, waffle-knit shirts, muscle tees, denim pants, joggers and accessories like scarves, beanies, wide-brimmed hats and shoes. The collection takes upon a “Noah’s Ark” theme, where classic male icons are reimagined as postapocalyptic figures of rugged adventurers, explorers, and athletes such as the rugby and soccer-inspired sportswear looks. In true Greg Lauren fashion, rare and vintage fabrics like tattered linen are hand-distressed and patchworked, and outfits are plentiful in belts, wrist wraps, straps and textured layers. Lauren’s offerings for the 2016 spring season hold a neutral color palette of white, camel beige, baby blue, light gray, eggshell cream and military green.
