Demos to Amy Winehouse's Third Studio Album Destroyed

Chairman and CEO of Universal Music UK David Joseph has revealed that a series of demos recorded by Amy Winehouse which were set to be included in her third studio album were destroyed after her untimely death. The label executive stated that he made a “moral” decision to not release the demos as a posthumous project, saying “taking a stem or a vocal is not ­something that would ever happen on my watch. It now can’t happen on anyone else’s.” 14 songs were finished and ready to be on the follow-up to Back To Black just a few weeks prior to her passing, according to Winehouse’s frequent producer Salaam Remi. Amy Winehouse has an upcoming documentary, titled Amy, that is set to hit theatres for a limited release July 3 and nationwide on July 10.
