Alabama’s Billy Reid presents its spring/summer collection for 2016 and further establishes itself as a force to be reckoned with in modern American design. The selection of soft suede, tweed and cotton-silk blends on offer, almost all in brand founder Reid’s favored natural palette of oatmeal, cream and grey, showed clear inspiration from flora and fauna and incorporated a motif that the man himself called “sea garden.” A unique and adventurous designer, Reid’s latest collection treads the line between wearable and experimental effortlessly and his modern reinterpretations of classic menswear staples was one of the best received at this week’s inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s. Check out the looks and head to the brand’s online journal to find out more.
