50 Cent Files for Bankruptcy

Curtis James Jackson III, aka 50 Cent, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today. According to The Wall Street Journal, court paper filed in the the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Connecticut report 50’s assets and debts to each be somewhere in the range of $10 to $50 million USD. The filing comes hot on the heels of a judge’s ruling that 50 has to pay $5 million USD in damages to Rick Ross’s baby mama, Lastonia Leviston — a ruling which stems from a 2009 incident that saw a Leviston sex tape leaked online with play-by-play commentary from the Queens native.
