Located in the symbolic heart of Venice facing the north facade of St. Mark’s Basilica in the expansive Piazza San Marco, Prada has reopened its Piazza San Moisè store following extensive renovations. Entering the store past the evocative Venetian exterior, the interior space was conceived by Italian architect Roberto Baciocchi, encompassing 850 square meters spanning two floors. The ground floor houses the women’s bags, accessories and footwear, in addition to the men’s collections, all of which is spread across three marble-columned rooms. Meanwhile, the upper floor is dedicated to the women’s ready-to-wear collection, as well as a more intimate room for VIP showings. Fittings include black-and-white marble flooring and green fabric-clad walls, matched with display counters of colored saffiano leather and green velvet sofas for the women’s area. The men’s area conveys a more masculine tone through slim Saint Laurent marble floorboards and orange encaustic walls in the leather foods and footwear space, while the ready-to-wear collection is showcased in a room clad with ebony walls and floorboards, and furnished with ostrich leather sofas.
