Moncler Gamme Bleu 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
Thom Browne takes Moncler Gamme Bleu rowing with latest collection.

Moncler Gamme Bleu took on a rowing theme for its Spring/Summer 2016 offering, with designer Thom Browne bringing several fictional rowing teams, complete with boats and oars, to the runway. Nautical stripes, seersucker, zip-up polos and block color jackets brought a collegiate, ivy-league-inspired theme, with webbing kit bags, bucket hats and deck shoes cementing the waterside aesthetic. “There were a lot of different variations on rowing and crewing stripes: team stripes. There was astrakhan [white] in the striped pattern, cashmere with grosgrain that was embroidered into the stripes, and, of course, there were printed and woven fabrics that were in the stripes. There was terry cloth that had an inlay of sequin in it. There was men’s suiting fabric that had seam-taped stripes—so there were a lot of variations” explained Browne to Style.com.
