Land Rover Produces Bespoke Two Millionth Defender
Take a look at the Land Rover built to commemorate the closing of Defender’s 67 continuous years in production.
To commemorate the two-millionth reproduction of Land Rover’s classic 1948 design, the revered British manufacturer has released a bespoke rendition hand built in Solihull, UK by a series of local names. Following Land Rover’s announcement to discontinue the production of its Defender effective December 2015, each new model is sure to become highly collectible. To mark such an iconic production, the four-wheel-drive off-road utility vehicle comes with a monochromatic silver exterior and features an etched plate behind the front wheel arch gazetting a linear map of Red Wharf Bay in detailing that extends through to its leather interior. The two-millionth edition calls on an all black base that is continued around the rims and roof compartment with “2,000,000” insignia seen throughout exterior metal badges and embroidered to each seat’s headrest.
